An Abomination

Hey Everyone! I read a proverb this morning and just thought it was awesome. It put a little fire in me. It's Proverbs 29:27 and it says, "An unjust man is abominable to the righteous, and he who is upright in the way is abominable to the wicked." AMEN! I want to be ABOMINABLE to the wicked! I want the enemy to be afraid and scramble. My God is SO powerful and mighty. He "gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist" (Romans 4:17).
We naturally use our reasoning to talk ourselves out of a life of faith. Why don't we take the truths of WHO GOD IS...think about it, He created the universe with His words...and use our reasoning to talk ourselves INTO a life of FAITH! It is illogical to doubt and not believe God. Really...that's why Hebrews 11:6 says, "And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him."
Lord help us today to have FAITH and use the brains you gave us to meditate on WHY we believe you. If we would love God with all our heart, soul, MIND, and strength (Mark 12:30)...we leave little room for a defeated day. Walk today in the "upright way" and be an abomination to the wicked. To God be the glory!

It's so funny you read Proverbs 29 this morning because so did I.

What stood out was these verses; but the Lord says Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the revelation of His glory you may rejoice with exultation. If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name. For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? AND IF IT IS WITH DIFFICULTY THAT THE RIGHTEOUS IS SAVED, WHAT WILL BECOME OF THE GODLESS MAN AND THE SINNER? Therefore, those also who suffer according to the will of God shall entrust their souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right. 1 Peter 4:12-19

We should persevere through these trials that the devil schemes up and afflicts those who are innocent and wish only to do the will of God in their lives.

v2When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when a wicked man rules, people groan.

v7 The righteous is concerned for the rights of the poor, the wicked does not understand such concern.

v12 If a ruler pays attention to falsehood, All his ministers become wicked.

v13 The poor man and the oppressor have this in common: The Lord gives light to the eyes of both.

v14 If a king judges the poor with truth, His throne will be established forever.

v16 When the wicked increase, transgression increases; but the righteous will see their fall.

v19 A slave will not be instructed by words alone; For though he understands, there will be no response.

v20 Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

v23 A man's pride will bring him low; but a humble spirit will obtain honor

v25 THE FEAR OF MAN BRINGS A SNARE, BUT HE WHO TRUSTS IN THE LORD WILL BE EXALTED.

V26 MANY SEEK THE RULER'S FAVOR, BUT JUSTICE FOR MAN COMES FROM THE LORD.

V27 An unjust man is abominable (very unpleasant) to the righteous, And he who is upright in the way is abominable (very unpleasant) to the wicked.

Proverbs 30:10 - DO NOT SLANDER A SLAVE TO HIS MASTER, OR HE WILL CURSE YOU AND YOU WILL BE FOUND GUILTY.

Proverbs 30:32-33 If you have been foolish in exalting yourself or if you have plotted evil, put your hand on your mouth. For the churning of milk produces butter, and pressing the nose brings forth blood; So the churning of anger produces strife.

Proverbs 31:8-9 Open your mouth for the mute, For the rights of all the unfortunate. Open your mouth, judge righteously and defend the rights of the afflicted and needy.

God Bless.
